About
Gift-giving, minus the guesswork
iFancy is a wishlist app for families and friends. Make a list, share it with a link, and let the people who love you get it right — without spoiling the surprise.
Why it exists
Gift-giving breaks down in two predictable ways. Either you have no idea what someone wants and end up guessing, or you tell everyone what you want and the surprise evaporates. Most registries solve the first problem by destroying the second.
iFancy is built around the idea that both can be true at once: the people buying for you know exactly what to get, and you still get to be surprised on the day.
What we care about
Adding an item should be effortless
Paste a link and iFancy pulls the image, title, and price automatically. If adding an item is a chore, lists never get made, and everything else stops mattering.
The surprise is sacred
When someone marks an item as purchased, you don't find out — not what was bought, not who bought it — until the date you choose. The list holder is deliberately kept in the dark.
Your list is yours
Wishlists can be public, friends-only, or private. Individual items can be hidden from specific people. You can keep yourself out of search results entirely and share only by link. Privacy here is granular on purpose, because “who can see this?” rarely has a single answer across a whole family.
The web matters as much as the app
Anyone can open your list in a browser — no account, no download, no friction. Grandparents shouldn't need to install anything to buy you a birthday present.
What iFancy isn't
It isn't a marketplace — iFancy never sells anything or processes a checkout, and purchases always happen on the retailer's own site. It isn't a deals or price-tracking service; price is context on an item, not something we monitor. And it isn't a calendar app.
iFancy is free to use. We keep the lights on with affiliate links, which cost you nothing extra — the full disclosure is here.
